Ive got my HTC Desire HD in hand and my question is people, what is rooting and whats so good about it, whats the advantages and disadvantages and what can go wrong.
I am only wondering because I’ve been reading about rooting and it seems if something goes wrong your phone can be rendered useless, I want to be able to root with the knowledge that the phone will be safe 
I just want to be able to install custom Roms and get some tweaks done to make the phone truly one of a kind.
